MadREP to Host Regional EDA Strategy Town Hall Meeting
Recent federal legislation has created the unprecedented opportunity for regional EDA funding. In order to create strong applications, we need to work together to create competitive proposals. MadREP has received guidance from our partners at the EDA, and they’ve indicated that regional collaborations are the priority for this funding.
Additionally, the EDA is directing potential applicants to take the local Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy (CEDS) into consideration in their grant application. In the case of the Madison Region, the EDA-approved CEDS is MadREP’s Advance Now 2.0 Strategic Plan.
We hope you will join us for a virtual meeting on Wednesday, September 8 at 3:00pm CST to create connections and identify synergies throughout the Region for EDA American Rescue Plan Programs.
Please RSVP to Jana Moore if you plan to attend.
If you want to pitch your idea for collaboration at the meeting, please complete this application by Monday, at Noon.
Speakers will be limited to 3-5 minutes per idea. Feel free to share this invitation with your collaboration partners as well. We will follow up with the agenda before the meeting and include a Zoom meeting link.
