Global Trade Venture to The Middle East

Location:  Dubai, United Arab Emirates and Doha, Qatar

WEDC is seeking Wisconsin businesses to travel to the UAE and Qatar from January 24 to January 31, 2014, to meet businesses and potential Middle East customers. The program is ideal for state businesses that specialize in health care, aviation, transportation and energy, but is open to all industries.

At each stop, you will participate in pre-arranged, individualized, customized meetings with companies whose needs or capabilities match your export objectives. and access to Arab Health 2014 trade show, the largest healthcare exhibition in the Middle East and Asia.

The venture fee is $1,850 per person and includes:

  • Market research and customized one-on-one meeting schedule with in-country businesses
  • Flight from Dubai to Doha
  • Entry to Arab Health, VIP Reception and American Business Council’s Arab Health Breakfast
  • All scheduled ground transportation in Dubai and Doha
  • Hotel accommodations, breakfast, and two group dinners

The UAE has long been recognized as the commercial and business hub of the Middle East.  In 2013, the country has risen from being the #17 destination for Wisconsin exports to become #11.  Qatar boasts the highest per capita GDP in the world. The average annual income for the country’s 1.9 million residents is $100,000.  Governments in both countries are investing their deep financial reserves in infrastructure improvements including housing; medical and health facilities; educational institutions; and transportation and aviation services.
