Protecting Your Intellectual Property When Exporting

This event will provide a forum for U.S. Government officials to interact directly with Wisconsin businesses about their intellectual property protection internationally. The event is hosted by the Madison International Trade Association and organized by the Wisconsin District Export Council, the U.S. Department of Commerce and the National Intellectual Property Rights Coordination Center.

Seminar Topics will include:

  • Patents, trade secrets, obtaining/maintaining trademarks and copyrights, and enforcing intellectual property rights in the US and abroad.
  • Best practices and common mistakes; remedies for counterfeiting, piracy, and trade secret theft; and law enforcement resources for IP protection.
  • You will have the opportunity to meet one-on-one with the expert speakers at the conclusion of the program for 15-minute private counseling sessions.
